The role may suit someone with a Solution Architect background, we are equally open to candidates with titles such as Manufacturing Systems Architect, Industrial Technology Architect, Production Systems Lead, or Smart Factory Architect.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the architecture and design of technology supporting manufacturing and production lines within the new facility.
- Assess current processes and systems and design future-state production technology architecture.
- Work closely with operations, engineering, and leadership teams to align technology with manufacturing requirements.
- Evaluate and implement technologies across areas such as:
- Production line systems
- Automation and robotics integration
- Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
- Warehouse and logistics technologies
- IoT / sensor-based production monitoring
- Provide strategic guidance on scalability, efficiency, and automation opportunities within the production environment.
- Oversee vendor engagement and ensure the successful implementation of the chosen technology solutions.
What We're Looking For:
- Strong experience designing or implementing technology solutions within manufacturing or production environments.
- Background in manufacturing, industrial engineering, operations technology, or solution architecture.
- Experience working with automated production lines, factory technology, or smart manufacturing environments.
- Ability to translate operational manufacturing requirements into scalable technology architecture.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, working across operations, engineering, IT, and leadership teams.
- Experience supporting new facility builds, plant relocations, or production line redesign will be highly regarded.
What's on offer?
- Initial 6-12 month contract.
- $1,000 - $1,200 p/d.
