This is a hands-on role at the heart of the program, focused on ensuring high-quality, accurate, and complete HR data is ready to support a successful Workday implementation.
The Role As the Senior Data BA, you will take ownership of the end-to-end data workstream — from identifying and cleansing legacy HR data through to migration, validation, and post-go-live support.
You’ll work closely with HR stakeholders, data engineers, and vendors to ensure data is structured, validated, and aligned with the new HRIS data model.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to create, validate, and govern HR data
- Facilitate data workshops to validate datasets and resolve data gaps
- Work closely with data engineers, architects, and testing teams
- Maintain traceability of data requirements across the delivery lifecycle
- Support UAT, implementation, and post-go-live activities
- Handle sensitive employee data (PII) with discretion and professionalism
- 10+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst, with strong data-focused delivery experience
- Proven experience working on HRIS or Workday data migration programs
- Strong understanding of data models, ERDs, data mapping, and data quality
- Advanced MS Excel skills (data manipulation, reconciliation, analysis)
- Experience writing and running SQL queries and understanding ETL processes
- Strong stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation skills
- Experience working across Agile and Waterfall environments
- High level of attention to detail, structure, and analytical thinking
- Professional, measured, and comfortable handling sensitive data
- Background in enterprise transformation, system integration, or platform migration
- Exposure to cloud technologies, data warehousing, or modern ETL frameworks
- $900 - $950 p/d (including super)
- 6-month contract, high liklihood of extension
