We’re partnering with a leading organisation undertaking a major HRIS transformation and are looking for an experienced Senior Data Business Analyst to lead critical data migration and readiness activities.

This is a hands-on role at the heart of the program, focused on ensuring high-quality, accurate, and complete HR data is ready to support a successful Workday implementation.

The Role As the Senior Data BA, you will take ownership of the end-to-end data workstream — from identifying and cleansing legacy HR data through to migration, validation, and post-go-live support.

You’ll work closely with HR stakeholders, data engineers, and vendors to ensure data is structured, validated, and aligned with the new HRIS data model.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to create, validate, and govern HR data
  • Facilitate data workshops to validate datasets and resolve data gaps
  • Work closely with data engineers, architects, and testing teams
  • Maintain traceability of data requirements across the delivery lifecycle
  • Support UAT, implementation, and post-go-live activities
  • Handle sensitive employee data (PII) with discretion and professionalism
About You
  • 10+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst, with strong data-focused delivery experience
  • Proven experience working on HRIS or Workday data migration programs
  • Strong understanding of data models, ERDs, data mapping, and data quality
  • Advanced MS Excel skills (data manipulation, reconciliation, analysis)
  • Experience writing and running SQL queries and understanding ETL processes
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation skills
  • Experience working across Agile and Waterfall environments
  • High level of attention to detail, structure, and analytical thinking
  • Professional, measured, and comfortable handling sensitive data
Desirable Experience
  • Background in enterprise transformation, system integration, or platform migration
  • Exposure to cloud technologies, data warehousing, or modern ETL frameworks
What's on offer?
  • $900 - $950 p/d (including super)
  • 6-month contract, high liklihood of extension
  • Nearby Melbourne CBD location (3-4 days p/w in office)
