To be a support resource, enabling the timely delivery of network and desktop services support encompassing hardware, desktop software and email support to facilitate optimal use of computers by all internal and external Customers. To also provide administration of Council’s telecommunications system, including
patching, handset maintenance and new services.
Selection Criteria-
- Tertiary qualification in IT or minimum 5 yrs relevant experience.
- ITIL Foundation or higher desirable.
- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Windows XP/Win7 Operating Systems, Microsoft Office products (2003/2007) and MS Exchange (2003/2010).
- Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting software and hardware faults in LAN/WAN desktop
- environment, with ability to discuss, negotiate and resolve problems within this area of expertise.
- Ability to communicate with business partners and all staff across the organisation with clarity and
- diplomacy.
- Demonstrated comprehension of principles and procedures relevant to desktop operating environment and troubleshooting procedures.
- Demonstrated knowledge in hardware connectivity and telecommunication including remote access technology (i.e.: Citrix, VPN, Aventail).
- Proficiency in the use of desktop based office applications.
- Demonstrated effective customer service skills.

- Must possess a current Victorian driver’s license.
