Purpose of the role
A member of the Strategic Capabilities, Cloud & Advanced Technologies Tech group, this is a key strategic role:
- The Senior Integration Architect is a highly technical leadership role responsible for designing, governing, and delivering scalable, secure, and resilient enterprise integration solutions using Microsoft Azure integration services .
- This role requires deep hands-on expertise in Azure, enterprise integration patterns, API design, event-driven architecture, and hybrid connectivity. The architect will create detailed solution architecture design documents, detailed technical designs, define standards, and guide engineering teams in implementing integrations across ERP, CRM, eCommerce, supply chain, data platforms, and other enterprise systems.
- Accountable for architecture for transformation projects to make sure we have got the right strategic architecture in place deliver best customer experience and achieve agility, speed to market, capital efficiency and business growth
- Establish and foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement, upskilling team members along the journey.
1. Architecture & Technical Design
- Lead the design of enterprise integration architecture across cloud and hybrid environments.
- Create high-level and low-level design (HLD/LLD) documents for integrations and solution architecture.
- Define:
- API contracts (REST/GraphQL)
- Data transformation mappings
- Event schemas
- Error handling and retry mechanisms
- Security patterns
- Design:
- Synchronous and asynchronous integrations
- Event-driven architectures
Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for:
Azure Integration Services
- Azure Logic Apps (Consumption & Standard)
- Azure API Management (APIM)
- Azure Service Bus (Queues & Topics)
- Azure Event Grid
- Azure Event Hubs
- Azure Functions
- Azure Data Factory
- Azure Storage (Blob, Queue, Table)
- Azure Durable Functions
- Azure App Services
- Azure Key Vault
3. Container & DevOps
- AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service)
- Docker
- Azure DevOps / GitHub Actions
- CI/CD pipelines for integration deployments
- Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / Bicep / ARM)
- Design microservices-based integration architectures.
- Stakeholder Management & Communication.
- Cyber Security and Compliance
