Granite Consulting is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Team Leader to join a large and collaborative shared services environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys remaining technically hands-on while leading a capable team responsible for delivering and supporting enterprise infrastructure services.
About the Role
Reporting to the ICT Operations Manager, you will lead a team of five—including Infrastructure and Desktop Engineers—responsible for maintaining, supporting, and enhancing critical systems across a large enterprise environment. The role offers the perfect balance between leadership and technical involvement across VMware, Microsoft, and modern infrastructure platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and support a team of Infrastructure and Desktop Engineers.
- Oversee the management and optimisation of on-premises and cloud environments.
- Remain hands-on across VMware, Microsoft Server, Active Directory, and Office 365.
- Deliver infrastructure improvement projects and implement best practice standards.
- Ensure uptime, performance, and security standards are consistently met.
- Collaborate with other technology teams and stakeholders within a shared services model.
- Proven experience as an Infrastructure Team Leader or Senior Infrastructure Engineer.
- Strong technical background across VMware , Microsoft Server , Active Directory , Office 365 , and general infrastructure management.
- Demonstrated leadership or mentoring experience within IT teams.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working within large enterprise or shared services environments will be highly regarded.
- Up to $160k package plus Not-for-Profit salary packaging benefits .
