This is a highly hands-on role, working directly alongside an established scheduling team to configure P6, uplift existing schedules and establish consistent scheduling practices. A key focus will be resource loading and resource allocation, ensuring project schedules provide accurate and meaningful visibility of project resources.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure Primavera P6, including EPS, OBS, WBS and activity coding
- Establish and roll out resource-loaded schedules across live projects
- Review and uplift existing schedules and migrate them into P6
- Develop consistent scheduling standards, coding conventions and governance
- Establish effective resource loading and allocation methodologies
- Work closely with the in-house scheduling team, providing hands-on training and mentoring
- Establish file exchange processes with head contractors
- Support the development of accurate, consistent and defensible schedules suitable for EOT and variation claims
- Document the agreed scheduling "way of working" once proven across live projects
- 5+ years' hands-on Primavera P6 experience
- Demonstrated experience with P6 implementation and configuration, not simply schedule maintenance
- Strong understanding of resource loading and resource allocation
- Experience working across construction, infrastructure or engineering environments
- The ability to work directly with scheduling teams and embed new processes and ways of working
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to train and mentor existing schedulers
- A practical, hands-on approach and the ability to operate effectively within a live project environment
