Our education client is looking for Business Analyst
on contract basis in Melbourne for Admission Redesign, engaging stakeholders to gather and clarify requirements while collaborating across teams to ensure alignment and quality deliverables. They create clear, accurate analysis artefacts, turning complex requirements into practical, well-aligned solutions.
About the role:
Working closely with architects and delivery teams, the BA contributes to planning and designs fit-for-purpose business processes, ensuring the Admission Redesign aligns with organisational needs and integrates smoothly with existing systems, while providing input into technical design considerations.
- Possesses a Salesforce Background -Must
- Stakeholder Management – Demonstrates strong skills in engaging and managing business and technical stakeholders, ensuring collaboration, clear communication, and alignment with solution design and delivery goals.
- Business Process Modelling – Skilled in comprehensive process modelling (As-Is and To-Be), gap analysis, and workflow optimisation, applying BPMN or equivalent standards to support technical solution design.
- Workshop Facilitation – Excels in structuring and leading workshops to elicit, validate, and prioritise both functional and non-functional requirements from diverse stakeholder groups.
- Business Analysis Artefacts – Experienced in preparing key technical and business artefacts including options papers, executive packs, business cases, functional specifications, and user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria.
- Systems, Data Mapping & Integration – Skilled in mapping data elements across systems, analysing data flows, and identifying transformation rules to ensure seamless integration. Adept at resolving data inconsistencies, understanding system dependencies, and optimising for performance, scalability, and maintainability
- Large-Scale Business Transformation – Proven track record contributing to and delivering enterprise-scale transformation projects, working closely with architects, developers, and testers to ensure successful technical integration.
- Agile and Hybrid/SDLC Frameworks – Demonstrates expertise in delivering projects using Agile (Scrum/Kanban) and hybrid SDLC approaches, ensuring iterative delivery while maintaining architectural and governance alignment
- Business Analysis Certification (CBAP or equivalent)
- Experience working in the higher education sector
