The Role As the TQA Automation Engineer , you will be responsible for the design, development and maintenance of automation frameworks and automated test scripts to ensure products and services meet defined quality standards.
You will work closely with developers, testers and delivery teams to implement automation best practices and improve testing capabilities across the software development lifecycle.
What You Will Do
- Design, develop and maintain automation testing frameworks and scripts for web and backend applications
- Develop and expand automation test coverage across new and existing platforms
- Contribute to automation strategy, estimation, test planning and execution
- Implement best-practice automation approaches for unit, integration and UI testing within CI/CD pipelines
- Execute automated test suites, analyse results and provide actionable insights to improve software quality
- Support API-based test data management
- Improve and maintain testing standards, tools, processes and methodologies
- Collaborate with delivery teams to ensure automation assets are reusable and maintained
- Provide guidance and recommendations on future automation capabilities and improvements
- Extensive experience designing and developing automation frameworks using Selenium
- Strong programming experience with Python and/or C#
- Experience with Microsoft technology stack including C#, ASP.NET, SQL Server and Visual Studio
- Strong experience with API testing using tools such as Postman or REST Assured
- Experience testing service layer, client and Windows-based applications
- Knowledge of XML, SOAP and SAML
- Experience with mass/bulk test execution tools such as Selenium Grid
- Experience with version control tools such as Git
- Exposure to CI/CD environments , ideally GitHub-based pipelines
- Experience with test configuration and test data management
- Experience with Salesforce test automation
- Experience with database testing using automation tools
- Strong understanding of secure automation practices across the SDLC
- Performance testing experience
- Experience working with BDD automation frameworks
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments
- Exposure to Tricentis tools such as Tosca
- Experience introducing test harnesses, stubbing protocols or test bed provisioning
- Experience working in higher education environments
- Initial 3 month contract
