One of our healthcare client is looking for Senior System Admin Engineer in Melbourne to join there team.
Working in a small team of Systems Admin Engineers, the role is responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems and software for business, clinical and patient applications within the Healthscope Hospitals environment.
The role will ensure that application operating systems, software systems, and related procedures promote and maintain business, clinical & patient care continuity.
About the role-
- Application installation, upgrades, configuration updates, patches, installation of dependent utilities i.e. Perl, Java, SMB
- Platform Maintenance, log file management, disk, memory and CPU allocation and assessment, Capacity reviews, application failure and restoration.
- Support interfaces into other applications and support services, integration in AD, setup of Users and groups, service configuration for access to other applications, firewall and file system access and configuration
- Application management scripts, SQL PowerShell, Perl, Bash etc. These are scripts that provide start-up, shutdown, data access and management and scheduled functions
- Database Management (Backup, Restore, Performance Tuning and Monitoring, Failover Nodes)
- Web Server and Proxy installation, management and troubleshooting
Experience for Success
- 10+ year’s System Administration experience
- 5+ years’ experience in Windows and Linux Server Administration
- Database Administration experience - SQL and Oracle - (backups, restores, security, permissions, scheduled jobs, reports, logs etc.)
- Experience with HL7 integration.
- Experience in script writing (Bash, JavaScript & VB)
- webPAS Patient Administration System, Telstra Health Kyra EMR or other EMR, Rhapsody, Iguana, Charm, K2 Obstetrics, RL6, iMatis, DXC Medcharts, Eclipse, Zedmed, HealthLink, LogicMonitor, PRTG, HIPS
- Exposure and experience in maintaining health systems in a hospital or professional medical environment would be highly regarded.
- Systems Administration/System Engineer certification or equivalent in Linux (RHEL) and Microsoft.
- DBA Certification (MSSQL, Oracle)
