We’re looking for a Security Engineer to play a key role in protecting enterprise information systems and data integrity across a complex technology environment. You’ll work closely with stakeholders across the business to strengthen security posture, drive standards, and ensure proactive monitoring and incident response.
Reporting to the GM of Information Security, you’ll be responsible for monitoring, analysing, and enhancing cyber defences, working with MDR (Managed Detection and Response) services, and leading remediation activities when required. This is a hands-on role where you’ll combine deep technical capability with strategic oversight to uplift cyber resilience.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyse network and system activity, identify potential threats, and coordinate response and remediation.
- Manage and maintain SIEM and SOC capabilities, ensuring proactive detection and response to incidents.
- Advise stakeholders on information security risks, controls, and compliance requirements.
- Contribute to security architecture design, risk assessment, and policy development.
- Lead initiatives to improve cybersecurity awareness and embed strong risk management practices.
- Support governance, compliance, and audit activities aligned to frameworks such as NIST, ISO27001, and GDPR.
- Work with cloud and endpoint security platforms, including Azure, Microsoft 365, and EDR tools.
You’ll bring extensive experience in information security and a solid understanding of contemporary cyber risk management practices. You’re hands-on, analytical, and confident communicating complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Key Skills and Experience
- 5+ years in information or cyber security roles.
- Strong technical knowledge across areas such as firewalls, EDR, SIEM, IDS/IPS, email protection, cloud security, and incident response.
- Familiarity with frameworks including NIST, ISO27001, GDPR, PCI-DSS, and related compliance requirements.
- Experience developing or managing SOC tools, processes, and monitoring frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to manage risk assessments, threat modelling, and mitigation strategies.
- Proven experience influencing and engaging stakeholders across business and technology teams.
- Tertiary qualifications in IT, cybersecurity, or related discipline; industry certifications (CISSP, CISM, or similar) highly regarded.
This is a fantastic opportunity to make an impact in a mature security function that’s continually evolving to meet modern cyber challenges. You’ll work in a collaborative, high-performing environment with strong leadership support and room to innovate.
