Are you passionate about turning data into impactful insights that drive real business decisions? We’re looking for a skilled Reporting & Insights Analyst to join our Melbourne-based team on an initial 12-month fixed-term contract.
In this role, you’ll dive deep into data sets, identify trends, uncover root causes, and deliver strategic insights that empower leaders to make faster, smarter decisions. You'll work across teams, helping translate complex data into clear, actionable outcomes — all while contributing to a high-performing data & analytics environment.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Partner with stakeholders to understand key business challenges and identify data-driven solutions.
- Analyse performance metrics, forecast trends, and develop actionable recommendations.
- Build and maintain interactive dashboards and reporting tools using Power BI.
- Extract and manipulate data using SQL, and work within tools like Snowflake to support robust data models.
- Deliver insights and recommendations to senior leaders to inform strategic and operational decision-making.
- Provide mentorship to junior analysts and help elevate the team’s analytical capabilities.
- Become a subject matter expert in various business areas, supporting them with ad hoc and recurring reporting needs.
What You’ll Bring ( Essential):
- 3+ years of experience in an Insights Analyst or similar role.
- Demonstrated experience in data analysis and identifying root causes of issues.
- Proficiency in SQL, Power BI, and cloud-based data tools (e.g. Snowflake).
- Proven ability to communicate complex data in a clear, concise, and actionable way.
- Experience working directly with senior business stakeholders to shape reporting and insights.
- Strong data storytelling skills and the ability to influence through insights.
