Our local government client is looking for Integration Developer in Melbourne on contract basis. This role supports integration work across core property and rates, spatial and digital platforms. It is a hands-on development role with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure services, API management, and infrastructure.
About the role-
Skills & Knowledge-
- Proficient in designing and implementing integration platforms using Azure Integration Services (iPaaS), including Azure API Management (APIM), Logic Apps, Service Bus, Service Queue, Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, and Azure Storage, to connect internal and external systems.
- Skilled in API design, configuration, and development using Azure APIM, adhering to RESTful API standards (e.g., Swagger/OpenAPI), versioning, security, and performance optimization.
- Proficient in Azure DevOps for continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Skilled in integrating IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS applications to enhance business operations and ensure seamless data exchange.
- Proficiency in the application of theoretical methods in the search for solutions to new problems and opportunities which may extend beyond the field of expertise.
- Understanding of long-term goals of Council, as well as the organisation’s values and aspirations within the legal, socio-economic and political context of operations.
Key Selection Criteria-
- Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Systems Engineering or related field with relevant experience plus post graduate qualifications, or lesser formal qualifications with extensive and diverse experience, or intensive specialist experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in architecting and actualizing integration solutions alongside business process automation, employing esteemed project delivery methodologies like PMBOK, Agile, and DevOps
- Proven experience in support functions and ability to perform detailed troubleshooting and root cause analysis across systems, including working with external and internal customers/ stakeholders/ vendors.
- Experience supporting establishment and implementation of best practices with regard to configuration, development, testing, data integrity and data security within the Integration Platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse complex systems and identify potential areas of risk or improvement.
