About the company-

One of our local council is looking for Data Quality Officer in Melbourne on contract basis to provide backup support to colleagues and other positions in the Department as well as actively support senior staff in the achievement of team objectives. 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and modify new names and addresses or other details required via the Name and Address Register (NAR) for all departments, face to face, over the telephone, or via Wyndham’s Names Inbox, or via electronic methods.
  • Maintain the customer database ensuring quality and accuracy by liaising with customers by telephone, email, face to face and by electronic methods.
  • Provide accurate and timely administration support to all departments.
  • Provide advice and assistance to all departments when required in relation to names and addresses and assist with checking details.
  • Data cleansing including investigating and amalgamating/deleting names with invalid addresses, duplicate names and addresses, general address cleansing, joint names, street table, debtors, Oracle Service Cloud, Oracle CDM
  • Maintain Customer Database, Customer Request Management (CRM) and NAR process, Oracle Service Cloud, Oracle CDM.
  • Carry out other duties commensurate with skills and abilities as deemed reasonable and appropriate to the role as directed from time to time.
  • Risk Management o Accountable for the implementation and maintenance of sound risk management within the areas of responsibility and in accordance Wyndham’s Risk Management Policy. Create an environment where managing risk is accepted as the personal responsibility of each employee.
Specialist Skills and Knowledge
  • Proficient keyboarding skills, including numerical ability, high attention to detail and experience in the use of Microsoft Office and corporate databases.
  • Accuracy with figures including knowledge of basic mathematical formulas.
  • Ability to use computer based equipment- Technology One, Council RM, Oracle Service Cloud, Oracle CDM
  • Sound knowledge of the organisation and its services.
  • Understanding of the NAR process is desirable.
  • Understanding relevant technology, policies, procedures, processes, regulations and precedents and an understanding of the unit goals and goals of the wider organisation.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Satisfactory completion of VCE/VCAL/HSC or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience in Microsoft Office and corporate databases
  • Demonstrated working experience in customer service particularly with the general public, including dealing with customers face to face and via telephone. 
  • Previous experience in a Local Government environment, and / or municipality knowledge is desirable.
  • Current Victorian Driver’s Licence is desirable.
