Role Overview The Data Engineer will design, build and maintain scalable data solutions to support reporting, analytics and business intelligence functions. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience from the finance sector (Banking or Superannuation) and hands-on expertise in Microsoft Azure data platforms .

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain robust data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes
- Build and optimise data models to support reporting and analytics
- Develop and manage Azure-based data solutions (Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks, etc.)
- Ensure data quality, integrity and governance standards are maintained
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, finance teams and data analysts
- Support migration and modernisation of legacy data systems
- Document technical designs, processes and data architecture
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer (minimum 4+ years preferred)
- Strong experience within the finance sector (Banking or Superannuation highly regarded)
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure (Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Synapse, Databricks)
- Strong SQL and data modelling skills
- Experience with data warehousing concepts and cloud architecture
- Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements in financial services
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
