Our non profit client is looking for an Application Solution Specialist works in partnership with business stakeholders and ITT teams to identify, design, and enable application based solutions that support BSL’s services, operations, and strategic objectives.
About the role-
Key Responsibilities
- Work with business stakeholders to understand needs and translate them into effective fit-for-purpose application solutions using ITT-owned and ITT-supported systems.
- Provide functional expertise on enterprise and business applications, especially Microsoft stack and D365, including configuration options, workflows, and user experience, to improve how systems support business processes.
- Act as a key liaison between business areas, ITT teams, and vendors to design and enable solutions, translating between business requirements and system capability.
- Contribute across the Application lifecycle supporting application onboarding, enhancement, optimisation and decommissioning, ensuring solutions align with ITT standards, governance and support models.
- Ensure supportable and operationally aligned solutions are designed to align with ITT application support models, ensuring clarity of ownership, escalation paths, and ongoing support arrangements.
- Demonstrated experience working with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective, application based solutions that support business processes and outcomes.
- Proven experience providing functional expertise across enterprise or business applications, including configuration, workflows, and user experience considerations, and recommending improvements or enhancements
- Experience identifying opportunities to improve how applications are used, configured, or integrated to enhance efficiency, usability, data quality, or value to the organisation.
- Experience supporting enterprise platforms such as Dynamics 365, Microsoft 365, or comparable systems, including working with vendors and internal teams to resolve technical issues and support system stability and performance.
- Experience contributing across the application lifecycle, including onboarding, enhancement, optimisation, and decommissioning, in line with organisational processes and governance requirements.
- Demonstrated experience working collaboratively with business areas, ICT teams, and vendors to design, enable, and support application solutions, including the ability to bridge business needs and system capability.
- Experience designing or recommending solutions that are supportable within defined ICT support models, with an understanding of ownership, escalation, and ongoing operational considerations.
- Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills, applying sound judgement to balance business needs, system capability, risk, and operational constraints.
- Takes initiative to identify opportunities and address issues and demonstrates accountability for solution outcomes through follow-through and attention to sustainability.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across diverse stakeholder groups and influence outcomes through expertise, communication, and collaboration.
- Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related fields.
- Demonstrated practical experience working with enterprise or business applications in a solution design, functional, or applications specialist role (in lieu of formal qualifications where applicable).
- Training or certification related to enterprise applications, digital solutions, or business systems (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics 365 Fundamentals, Microsoft 365, or comparable platforms).
- Training or experience in application lifecycle management, solution design, or business process improvement.
- Experience or professional development undertaken within a not-for-profit, community services, or government environment (desirable).
